Oh Paris - I love you!

The following morning we caught the train to Waterloo Station then the Chunnel to France – three hours later – we were in PARIS!  We thought we would be clever and catch the train to St Michel but it turns out that with the amount of luggage we have we were too far from the apartment to walk.  Two taxis later we arrived at Rue Chartreux to meet Pascal who showed us through the apartment which is situated in a beautiful neighbourhood passed the Jardins Luxembourg.  We spent the remainder of the day walking along Rue St Michel to familiarize ourselves with our surroundings.

Our first full day in Paris was a Sunday, so we set off to find the art and craft markets which lined the centre of the road.  Bought a fabulous cuff and earrings (E100) – beautiful artwork.  As Regan and I have just finished reading the DaVinci Code we set off to explore St Sulpice then head through the Latin Quartiere to the Seine.  We walked along the Seine back to St Michel – this is what Paris is really about – just beautiful!
