On day one we visited Edinburgh Castle – not as impressive as many other castles we’ve seen. We spent the rest of the day sightseeing – the Tartan Factory, all around the Festival area …. We had bought local cheese and oatcakes with the intention of having a drink, eating the cheese then going out for dinner – we were all asleep by 7pm!
