In London we stayed at 'The Mansions' in Earl's Court. Fabulous little apartment with easy access to the Subway, shops, restaurants etc. Portobella Road Markets, Notting Hill, Baker Street, Madame Tussaud's Wax Works and the Planetarium. A full day of sightseeing marred only by the insane actors at Madame Tussaud's who insisted on scaring the life out of our 12 year-old, although I think our 18 year-old was close to exchanging numbers with 'Jack the Ripper'!
Over the next few days we did all the "touristy" things....the "On - Off" bus was a must and we saw all the famous landmarks - Little Ben, Big Ben, the London Eye, the Tower of London, Leicester Square, Covent Garden. Harrod's, Buckingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral not to mention a trip to the theatre to see "Mouse Trap" which at that time had been running continuously for 52 years.
