Friday morning we were picked up by Lynne and David Hammond for a pre-arranged wine tour and taken to visit three local vineyards with the tour culminating with a three-course lunch. This was definitely a highlight of our trip so far as we were taken into local homes to see firsthand how the wine is produced these days which is much the same as it has been for years with original presses, vats, casks etc. continuing family traditions. The tastings were also a welcome plus.
