Thursday 28th December
The scenery improves dramatically as we travel higher into the mountains, travelling through many little communities. Logging and timber/lumber appear to be the major industry. We travel through Kanuch and many other quaint townships and finally hit the Rockies just before 3pm. The scenery becomes more breathtaking the further we travel. The majesty of the mountains is breathtaking.
The Rocky Mountaineer has been quite an experience. The service has been exceptional ……..always plenty to eat and drink, the transfers between train and hotel effortless and, of course the scenery….magnificent.
