Hotel Scribe is really well placed just
behind the Paris Opera, Galleries Lafayette and lots of restaurants. I think Gordy has decided that he should just
give in and let me have one day of shopping so you can literally see his shoulders sag ever so slightly, as we walk through the welcoming doors of
Galleries Lafayette. He is very patient
so I sweep around as quickly as possible picking up a dress and shoes for Abbie
and boots, top and dress for me. I’m
meeting up with one of my old teachers Jane, who has been living in Paris for
the past two years and dancing at the Moulin Rouge and Gordy suggests that he
should go back to the hotel, with all my parcels, and let me meet up with Jane
myself! Does he not realize how many
shops I will have to walk by!?!
So after lunch at Café de La Paix I meet up
with Jane for a couple of hours for a drink and then head back to the hotel …. With
just a minor detour into Zara J
Tonight we head out for a quick bite to eat
at Café Capucines.
