Day 13 - Killarney

Starting to feel human again J  We set off for what ends up being a very big day of driving!  First off we head to Bunratty Castle.  This is set within the grounds of a ‘village’ so after exploring the castle you can wander through the village and imagine how life would have been in years past.

Our next stop is the Cliffs of Moher.  A stunning natural wonder of fabulously high cliffs where you look out from the coast of Ireland across the Atlantic.  The views are stunning … the wind is certainly very breezy!

We now drive to Killrush where for 18 euros we catch the car ferry to Kerry!  It’s taken a little over an hour to get here but only about 15 minutes for the crossing.  We then have another hour and a bit to drive to Killarney where, it turns out, I booked LAST night, not tonight!  I have been booking trips all around the world for years and this is the first time this has ever happened!  Thankfully they have a room (Killarney Royal Hotel) and there is a car park across the road.  Coffe and scones …. again!   We stay in the hotel for dinner which is very handy as feeling a little weary.
