Day 24 – Easy day – breakfast, a movie,
then finally out to the slopes! I stayed
with Gordy for quite a while, as he is still not feeling confident. I then did a couple of runs on Preview before
I summoned up my courage and went to the top of the lift! Let me tell you I was scared “shitless”! Somebody had told me I should head left,
which I did. Followed some people that
seemed to know where they were going then, for some unknown reason, I ended up
in a space where there was NO ONE! I
waited for a while, then made a decision to push off …. after all, I was up and
the only choice was …. down.
Anyway, other skiers appeared a couple of minutes later and off I
went. It was great fun….though I still
get very scared and have to remind myself what to do constantly. Down to meet Gordy and after a couple of
warming ales (wines) we were back in our room.
Another relaxing hour or so and then we head down to the bar again for
“Happy Hour”. This is great as every
evening between 3.00 – 6.00pm all drinks are half price plus a selection of
appetisers! Bargain! The quarter final between Colorado and San
Diego was on tonight so very busy night and you always get talking to the
locals so a good night! Back in our room
as we have to have an early night to be up early for our Gourmet Walking Tour
in the morning!
