Day
13 – Breakfast out of the way, we pack our last few remaining things in the
room and after settling the account catch a cab to Penn Station. As we’ve come to expect there are huge crowds
of people returning home after their new year celebrations in the “Big Apple”,
and as we’ve also come to expect, the authorities are experts at crowd control.
The departure board shows the train
number and destination but the track number doesn’t appear until 10 – 15
minutes prior to boarding then suddenly the place comes alive as a mass throng
surges toward the platform and within minutes everyone is seated and the train
actually leaves right on time! Boston
bound …….
We collect our luggage at the Boston Station –
this is a great system where you send your bags on ahead and pick them up at
the destination – then cab it to the Four Seasons Hotel where we are booked for
the next three days – it’s none too shabby! Our room at the Four Seasons |

Bricco Restaurant |
After settling in, we then walked across the park to “Cheers”, the bar
made famous by the TV show. You could really
almost see “Sam” standing behind the bar J We then caught a cab up to the Northern area
for dinner at ‘Bricco’, which I would highly recommend. We are both feeling a tad tired, so it’s cab
back to the hotel and straight to bed! J
