Day 14 – Gordy is finally happy J We wake this morning to find
it snowing ….. significantly. We head
down Newbury Street, which is Boston’s answer to 5th Avenue,
stopping for coffee on the way. There
are lots of fabulous shops along this street so, (only to get out of the
weather of course!), we stopped at a number of them. The cross streets are named starting “A”
through “M” so when we hit Fairfield Street, we turn and head to the Prudential
Shopping Mall, which is huge……more shopping ….yaay! We lunch at “Legal Sea Foods”, a great oyster
bar in the middle of the Mall. You can
walk through the Prudential Shopping Mall to Copley Place but eventually you
have to brave the outdoors and it is really quite unpleasant. Still snowing and the wind is whipping up the
snow from footpaths and awnings alike.
We wore our ski boots today and we really needed them. Nobody can give us a definitive answer as to weather
predictions for the next day or two, they seem to have as much confidence in
their meteorologists as we have in ours.
Too cold to head out so after a few zzzz’s
back at the hotel we head down to the Bristol Lounge which is the Hotel’s
restaurant and bar. This is a really
beautiful venue….expansive in size, ambience abounds, fabulous service –
definitely recommended. J
