Day 10

This morning we did a tour of Radio City - famous as the home of the iconic dance troupe, the Rockettes, who made their debut there on 27th December, 1932.  The stage is 10,000 square feet, (144 ft wide) the auditorium seats 5,931 and over 6,000 if needed.  It has an hydraulic system that can drop 27 feet below the stage or lift 13 feet above.  It has had such greats as Whitney Huston, Barbra Streisand and Liberace grace it's stage, along with the Grammy's, a circus, a basketball match was played there and they even installed a pool for Esther Williams to perform in years ago.

We went to the National for lunch before heading up to the Met to meet Regan for a "scavenger" hunt!  Great fun - you get to solve a murder by investigating different art works throughout the gallery.  We then headed to John's Pizzeria (again) for pizza,  a very famous pizza restaurant established back in 1929, before heading home after another HUGE day!
