Breakfast over, guided tour organized, we
hit the shops. Many of the designer
shops are having sales (Escada, Bally etc) but no matter how hard I try, I
cannot get a pair of shoes to fit! H
& M are in sale mode and selling off a huge range of things including tops,
dresses, jeans from 5 – 20 euros! Zara
are also in sale mode but the store here is not all that large. There is a large Zara just up the road but looks like it’s being renovated. A quick coffee stop and then we head back to
the hotel (which is really centrally situated) to wait to be picked up for our bus
tour, (39 euros per person). The tour takes us around the city ring road
pointing out various historical buildings. Vienna is a beautiful city and the tour ends at the Schonbrunn Palace
where we are guided through the many opulent rooms.....what an excessive life these people must have led! The bus takes us to the Opera House and
it’s back to the hotel for a reviving drink before heading out to dinner. We are going back to the restaurant attached to the hotel we stayed at last time..... what a pity. The waiter recommended a beef dish for me that was just huge lumps of beef and a creamed spinach that was so green and mushy, I'm sure it was radioactive! Never mind, it's an adventure :)

We’ve repacked, expanding to three
suitcases plus our carry-ons! At least
this is the last big move before heading home. I've been holding back as Gordy keeps getting hysterical every time I buy something due to the weight issue! Tomorrow is the only leg we are actually flying "coach" so we will either be paying excess luggage or upgrading, after that, we can easily expand to our four suitcases and two carry ons :) I just hope the gear I sent home is actually heading to Clayfield! I tried to track it but it's all in French so I can't understand it! :(
Anyway, signing off ....Gordy is losing it! He is watching Austrian TV....obviously had enough of the reruns on CNBC, BBC and CNN!
