Munich - first full day

We are up early and after breakfast head down to the Marienplatz to the Christmas Markets.  At 9.30am there are only a few stalls open - so many Christmas decorations - it's amazing!  We meet our guide at 10.15am and commence our Third Reich and WWII walking tour.  Just over two hours later we have walked quite a way around Munich and looked at so many pivotal geographical places while discovering the history of Hitler's rise to fame - as far as he was concerned Munich was the home of the Third Reich - we even stood in the building where Hitler's office was directly above us.

After the tour we went back to the Hofbrauhaus (Hitler made many speeches here) and headed upstairs for lunch.   Everything was fine until the end when I suddenly had severe pain in my jaw, cold sweats etc, etc.  Serious enough to make me feel quite nervous ... so guess where I have just spent the last seven hours!  Several blood tests, x-rays, monitoring etc but all good.  Apparently stress ....   Munich hospital was quite an experience though - much better to get ill in Australia!
